DetailsHandcrafted in Florence, Tuscany, during the 1980s to 1990s by the celebrated workshop of Brandimarte (silversmith code 283 FI), this solid 800 continental silver bell is sculpted as an angel playing a musical instrument. Founded by Guscelli Brandimarte, the Florentine atelier revolutionized late 20th century Tuscan silversmithing by reviving ancient repoussé and chasing techniques with expressive warmth. In Italian tradition, musical angels evoke the Renaissance choirs of Florence's historic churches and the festive joy of Christmas, while the clear chime of a silver bell is cherished as a symbol of harmony and auspicious tidings.
