Handcrafted in Arezzo, Tuscany, during the 1970s to 1980s, this large solid 800 continental silver figurine depicts a horse in full gallop. In Italian artistic tradition, the horse has been a central subject since the Renaissance, celebrated in Tuscany through centuries of equestrian monuments and historic traditions as an emblem of nobility, strength, and freedom. Weighing over 3.2 ounces of solid silver, this detailed sculpture brings the heritage of Tuscan animalier metalwork to a study desk, mantelpiece, or silver collection.
