Steeped in the prestigious silvermaking legacy of Rome, this solid 925 sterling silver rhinoceros sculpture by Ottaviani represents the finest in Italian micro craftsmanship and decorative art. Ottaviani’s Roman atelier became world famous in the late 20th century for fusing solid sterling silver forms with meticulous hand applied colored enamels. Featuring deep brown enamel highlights that bring realistic texture to the safari animal design, this piece remains in its uncleaned state to protect its original Italian Lira price label, offering a genuine piece of Italian silver history for curio vitrines or fine miniature collections.
