A large basket players figurine crafted in Italy during the 1970s/1980s. The piece shows traces of hallmark 925 which stands for Sterling Silver (925/000) together with traces of the Italian silversmith code. The structure includes a detailed layout consistent with miniature and sport themed silverwork produced in the Arezzo district (Tuscany). The base inscription suggests it was probably part of a prize awarded to a basket player named Pedrazzini for the sport year 1981 to 1982. This subject has not appeared on Vintage Silver Story before.
